Context

Nuts.com is a family-run online retailer of nuts, dried fruit and snacks with a loyal repeat-purchase customer base. Object Edge was modernising its storefront into a headless architecture on Commercetools and Contentful, and I led the subscription work.

What I did

  • Led the subscription capabilities — letting customers subscribe to recurring deliveries of their favourite products — across frontend, backend and commerce integration.
  • Supported the migration of the storefront from PHP to Vue.js and Node.js.
  • Developed headless commerce features using Commercetools, Contentful, GraphQL and Node.js.
  • Implemented event-driven automation with AWS Lambda and EventBridge for transactional and operational workflows.

Impact

The subscription capabilities contributed to a 12% increase in recurring revenue.
